We stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely time! The negatives: it was very cold in the upstairs bedroom (radiator didn't work) but the downstairs bedroom was very noisy as it's on street level. We ended up alternating between the two! The shower needs a bracket to hold the shower head up - we couldn't have a shower without taking the shower off the wall and holding it over ourselves. There was no grater or colander in the kitchen, and only one mug for tea/coffee. The towels were too small! Positives of the apartment: the kitchen and eating area is LOVELY and it's this room we spent most time in. It was really good to have a stereo system so we could put our ipods in and have music for our stay. The apartment is perfectly placed for exploring Amsterdam. The staff were very helpful! With just a little attention to this apartment, it could be perfect! The only things really wrong with it were small things which were just a little bit annoying but not the end of the world. It's a shame though because it's the little things that make a place 'luxurious' as the apartment was supposed to be. Overall the house was charming though, and we will remember our stay in Amsterdam as a very good one!
This is not a typical luxury designed apartment, but luxury consists of having your own whole monumental house in the center of Amsterdam. The house is a four floor house with typical steep Amsterdam stairs and at the moment a ladder to the 20 sqm roofterrace overlooking the neighbourhood. There are two bedrooms with 1,4m wide double beds, living area and kitchen with dining table at separate floors. When the weather is nice you can open the doors of the ground floor and enjoy the late afternoon sun, sitting on your private terrace in the street.This short stay amsterdam apartment is situated near Central Station and Jordaan, with many bars and restaurants nearby. Anne Franks House in walking distance and you can enjoy the so called Farmers Market on the Noordermarkt on Saturdays, which has all kind of biological products.
